Ken Wanted to make sure you got my reply and now your subject interests me so I will try to download it. Also I will be interested in staying in contact as I am a Vietnam era vet and working to get established in Business. I would be interested at any rate in exchanging links with you if you're interested. Nice fish by the way! an average patriot said... rosecovered glasses Thanks for an insiders perspective! Since you have been on the inside of the defense Industrial Complex you know that the best weapon doesn't always get the contract. You may have mentioned it but I have to go back and check. However as you know, Politics often takes precedence over what is best for the troops.Of late I have been hearing more of that occuring under this misadministration than ever. I will check out you post as I am very interested. Believe it or not CentCom wrote me one day and said they noticed I wtote a lot on Iraq, Afghanistan, and Bush, so they put me on their email list. I don't know what their real intention is but they send me updates on all recent events in this area so It's a good thing. I have a son in EOD who just got extended another 6 months and one flying in and around the middle east on c17's so I am interested, plus I have 2 more sons of Drafting age. You are right about that volkswagon analogy but it will be a lot worse than that. Funny but that is a rose covered scenario. I have done some posts on it in the past and will gladly dig them up if you are interested but in a nutshell everything in life has a cycle. The world and our society are no exception. Global warming is normal but we are speeding up the process. Likewise, as you know, every great society has gone the way of the Roman Empire and we are no exception. Bush has merely put us on the fast track. Our selfishness and decadence is not only affect our military weapons apropriations but every aspect of society. I saw what was going to happen in 1970 but I did not foresee a U.S. President leading the way down. I am looking at your comment again and I have to say I agree but you know I can just shake my head because the idiocy I see displayed by our so called leaders is absolutely dumbfounding. No concern for the country or doing the right thing period. These idiots still don't realize what is happening!
Thank you for your post on my blog. As an employee of a defense contractor myself, I will keep your insights in mind as I travel down that path. I appreciate your thoughts.
